Increasing Indian tourists to Philippines

More number of Indians seems to continue heading to Philippines this year. Comparing the number of visitors last August with that of this year’s, it is found that there is an increase in number by 50 per cent of total Indian tourists.
India which is said to stand among the top outbound markets in the globe is now serving as a major source contributing to international visitors to Philippines.
Looking at the statistic reports, it is found that over 24,525 tourists are received by the Department of Tourism Philippines (DoT) between January and May 2014. This was only 23,365 in 2013.
Considering globally, Philippines received about 20,61,135 international tourists flowing in to the country between January and May 2014. This is 2.4 per cent higher than previous years according to records. DoT is currently focused on improving the air connectivity between all main airports and they are expecting over 55 lakh tourists to arrive their country this year.
