Record breaking victory of ‘Kaththi’

All box office records seem to get rewritten with the blockbuster hit of Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’. The very first day of the movie’s release saw Rs 12.5 crore flowing in. The movie certainly has much to do with it further.
In a confirmation made by the movie’s director A.R. Murugados on his official social media page, he stated that the total collection on the first day hit Rs 23.80 crore. This is a ginormous amount which no other south Indian film has ever attained in the history so far.
Considering our state Tamil Nadu, it has been quite some years since a hike in ticket pricing was made. However reports say the ticket pricing is nearly Rs 150 to 200 for the first weekend.
Audiences are left eager to know if ‘I’, ‘Thala 55’ and ‘Lingaa’ would race past the history made by ‘Kaththi’.
