Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet the chairmen and senior officials of all nationalised banks. The meeting is scheduled to be conducted very soon at Delhi.
Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley and the governor of Reserve Bank of India, Mr. Raghuram Rajan are likely to participate.
The meeting will focus on the issues of the rising unpaid loans, extending bank service benefits to the entire society, and the implementation of Jandhan scheme.
The sources point out that there has been no precedence of a prime minister meeting the banks senior officials.
