New tolls to make your travel quite more expensive

Do you travel through the Ambattur-Porur stretch over the Chennai bypass more frequently? If you do so, you may further be ready to give out some money towards the toll booth charges. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has plans to set up toll booths on this service road which obviously would collect free from commuters. No more free rides through the route!
According to MEP Chennai Bypass Toll Road Pvt Ltd, toll will be collected from vehicles that make use of the 5-km stretch. Travelers were able to escape from paying toll by taking Ambatur-Porur route which wouldn`t be possible anymore. Additional booths will be set up at Porur, Vanagaram, Chettiyar Agaram Road and near roads at Ambattur industrial estate. This 32-km Chennai bypass connects Red Hills and Tambaram said V. Chinna Reddy, Chief General Manager of State NHAI.
