An Old Building Collapsed Near Chennai Anna Fly-over!
Owing to the incident of an old building collapsed near Chennai Anna fly-over, many vehicles got damaged.
More than 10
workers have been employed in the demolition work of an old building. During
that time unexpectedly, the compound wall of the building got collapsed. On its
continuation, the whole building got collapsed.
Since the
workers were at a distance from the building, they got escaped from its impact.
Fire extinguisher vehicle from many locations including Mylapore, Tenampet and
Ezumbur reached the spot in time and carried out the recovery work.
More than 20
fire service employees have been involved in the recovery work and after the
series of subsequent searches; they confirmed that there is life loss in this
event.
It has been
revealed that this building was 40 years old one and for the past few weeks the
demolition work has been carried out there to rebuild it to new apartments.
Moreover, we have initiated this demolition work only through proper passage and permissions, said the owners of the old building. Unexpectedly, more than 10 two wheelers got affected by this collapse accident.
