Vote & Stay Home – All Outdoor Spots Remains Shut on Poll Day!
Evening outing plans after casting the votes on poll day, will not work out this time. As the first time, all outdoor spots like theatres and multiplex complex will remain close for the day.
Most of
the holiday destination spots which entertain a huge count of visitors on
vacations include the Government Museum at Egmore, Arignar Anna Zoological Park
at Vandaloor, Guindy National park, Birla Planetarium and Connemara Public
Library will close their cover ups.
All Theme
parks will stay closed for the whole day. Citi Centre will be close for the whole
day. Ambit mall, Skywalk will function after 2pm and Express Avenue will be
wide open after 6pm. Satyam cinemas and PVR cinemas will display the movies
after polling ends at 6pm.
For the
first time, the Arignar Anna Zoological Park announced a holiday to about 200 of
its workers, cheering them to partake in the elections.
Even booklovers will get upset as libraries including Connemara Public Library will remain shut.
The president of Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association, Abirami Ramanathan says that till for the previous election, employees were permitted for four hours break to register their votes and back to work. But this year we have got strict orders not to show movies all over the city.
