Power supply will be suspended in the following areas from 09.00 am to 02.00 pm for maintenance work. Supply will be resumed before 02.00 P.M if the works are completed.
New transmission line energized: will ease the shortage of power in Tamil Nadu
A new transmission system, constructed at the cost of Rs .815 Crores, to bring electricity to the South from the North has been energized.

New Power Cut schedule of Chennai January 1st, 2014.
The Tamilnadu Electricity Board has changed the Power Cut schedule of Chennai City from January 1st ( Wednesday ), 2014.
