Many of us eat oatmeal for breakfast because it is very healthy. Not only oatmeal is preferred by those who want to lose their excess weight, but also by those who have diabetic condition in them. It must be taken into account that oatmeal is a type of coarse flour made of hulled oat grains that are either milled or steel cut.

Various nutrients present in the oatmeal are vitamins like B1 and minerals like copper, iron, phosphorus, selenium, zinc, magnesium etc. Therefore, by consuming oatmeal we could have good health.

Eating too much of oatmeal might lead to many issues in us and these are

Leads to more sugar consumption:
It is important that we must eat oatmeal that is rich in vegetables for our health to be good. Many of us eat oatmeal in combination with sugar, chocolate chips, other sweet items etc. This would lead to reduction in the overall nutrients value of this oatmeal by addition of extra calories, sugar, fats etc.

Leads to restrictions to other foods:
By eating oatmeal for breakfast, we could get good health as oatmeal is rich in many nutrients. This would automatically decrease the intake of other foods we eat in the morning. It must be noted that for a healthy start in the morning we must eat different types of healthy foods.

Leads to malnutrition and muscle mass shedding:
It is known that by intake of oatmeal we could lose our weight. Not many of us know that excess oatmeal intake could lead to malnutrition and muscle mass shedding also. The presence of fibre in the oatmeal could keep us full for a longer duration of time. As a result, our body would lose the ability to signal us to eat more throughout the day. Truth is that excess intake of oatmeal could interfere with our cognitive functions and would decrease our alertness and sharpness.

Leads to bloating issues:
By consuming too much oatmeal we would eat excess fibre content. This could slow down the digestion process in us and we could feel bloated.
