Here are a few dos and doníts when it comes to a healthy diet.
  • DO include whole grains in your food. These include wheat, jowar, legumes, green grams and lentils.
  • DONíT skip breakfast. At least munch on a fruit or a sandwich.
  • DO include a calcium based food in your food every day. A glass of skimmed milk is ideal. You can also eat ragi porridge or broccoli.
  • DONíT indulge in fried foods and extra sweet foods.
  • DO replace bread, pasta, roti to whole wheat bread, pasta or roti.
  • DONíT indulge in excess alcohol and caffeine
  • DO have small and frequent meals Ė carry nuts, fruits or buttermilk with you at all times.
  • DONíT have late and heavy dinners.
