The lifestyle has changed a lot these days and many of us work from home. This has lowered the physical activity of a person. Fact is that we do not burn enough calories if we just sit throughout the day. The various organs inside us get affected. It is therefore important to take small walking breaks in between the work.

Research studies have confirmed that by just sitting throughout the day without doing any physical activity we could get chronic health issues.

Various health issues of sitting throughout the day are

Weight gain:

This is one of the important side effects of sitting for a longer duration without any physical activity. Point is that lesser amounts of calories get burnt when we sit. When we eat more calories, then it would lead to an increase in weight. The risk of obesity becomes more.

Legs get affected:

 Our leg muscles could get affected if we just sit throughout the day. There are chances that the person might experience spider veins.

Leads to poor mental health:

The more a person sits then the more he or she could get anxiety or depression issues. The symptoms could be kept under control by exercising regularly.

Back, neck, shoulders get affected:

By sitting continuously, we could get pain in the neck or back or shoulders. It is said that poor posture would worsen the issues.

More risk of getting other health issues:

It is revealed by the research studies that by just sitting throughout the day without any physical activity we could get various health issues like diabetes, BP etc.
