In the last few years, prostate related issues have become a major cause for more cancer cases in men. The shocking piece of information is that there is still very less awareness in India about the prostate related issues. Truth is there is stigma and hesitancy in the patients visiting the doctors for prostate related issues in India.
It must be noted that the prostate is an important part of male reproductive system that is linked to the urinary tract. Most common prostate associated issues in men are inflammation or prostatitis, enlargement of prostate or BPH and prostate cancer. Frequent urination in the nights:
This is one important sign and must not be ignored by men. The bladder wall gets irritated due to the extra pressure that is put on the urethra due to enlarged prostate. This would block the flow of urine. Even before the bladder is completely full, there would be contractions and increased urination.
Trouble in urinating:
Prostate cancer could result in pain during urination, trouble in standing up while urinating, weak stream while urinating etc. So, please be careful.
Blood in semen or urine:
It is believed that blood in semen or urine could lead to alarm and prostate cancer could get advanced.
Pain in ejaculation:
Another sign of prostate cancer in men is that there would be pain or burning sensation while ejaculating. It is said that erectile dysfunction would be possible in a few.
Pressure on the rectum:
The rectum would be pressed by the enlarged prostate and there would be pressure all the time due to this. So, take care.
