For the proper functioning of more than 300 enzymes, zinc is necessary.

By acting as a neurotransmitter, zinc helps the body cells to communicate with each other is known fact. Information is zinc also plays a huge role in keeping our immune system string plus building of proteins etc. Having better immunity could avoid many diseases and infections in us. Therefore, intake of zinc is essential for us. Adults must have 11mg of zinc per day and women must have 8mg of zinc per day.

There are few foods rich in zinc and we must consume them without fail for our immunity to get better.

Legumes intake:
Zinc is present in plenty in lentils and beans etc and we must eat these for our immunity to be better. It is said that for those who follow vegan lifestyle intake of legumes could provide zinc.

Dairy intake:
Milk, cheese etc are having lots of nutrients plus zinc and most of the zinc content in milk and cheese could be directly absorbed by the body.

Eggs intake:
It is believed that whole eggs have good amounts of zinc in them. It is known that eggs could provide us proteins, healthy fats, selenium etc. They could be consumed as breakfast.

Nuts intake:
Zinc is present in rich amounts in nuts like cashew, peanuts, almonds etc. Intake of nuts could also provide us with other nutrients.

Shellfish intake:
Not many know that shellfishes like oyster, Alaskan crabs, mussels etc are rich in zinc. Fact is oysters are rich sources of zinc.
