In Poland is located popular Warsaw University of Life Sciences. An associate professor of this university Dr. Joanna Kaluza, D. Sc, had conducted research studies on 68,273 Sweden based men and women of aged between 45 and 83. The point to be noted here is these men and women were followed for a time period of 16 long years.
It was found by the research that those men and women who consumed anti-inflammatory diet had an 18% lower risk of all-cause mortality. The important point is these men and women had 13 % lower risk of dying from cancer and 20% lower risk of dying from heart diseases.
As per Dr. Ali Webster, the associate director of nutrition communications at the International Food Information Council Foundation, anti inflammatory diet focuses on the food that is rich in antioxidants and these foods have been linked to lowering markers of inflammation within the body. He then spoke about how anti-inflammatory diet was also about what a person does not consume.
Mr. Ali Webster finally shared his views on the foods that must be avoided and said foods having high salt content, foods having sugar content, foods having saturated fats, refined carbohydrates must be avoided or limited.
