Eye Infection spreading in Chennai

The virus, known as ‘Adino’, creates the eye infection. This is produced in certain climatic conditions. Usually, eye infections spread around July. Now-a-days, it has become difficult to predict the period of eye-related diseases.
Presently, eye-infection is spreading in Chennai. The number of patients visiting private and public hospitals with eye infection is on the rise. There has been an extensive eye-infection cases recorded in Chennai over the last 10 years.
Senior Doctor from Chennai Egmore Eye Hospital informs that,
Eye infections spread in the air, in crowded places, created by ‘Adino’, a virus germ. This time, the disease is in a new form which can affect the corneas. Normally, eye infections get cured within 3-5 days. However, treatment must be taken. It is better to consult the doctor and use eye-drops.
Diabetics are affected easily with eye infection. They should keep their hands clean by regular washing. The items likes handkerchief and clothes used by the eye-infected should not be used by others.
The virus affecting this time is entirely different in nature. Research is undertaken to find suitable curing medicines.
