Black out in Chennai

Chennaites experienced blackout on Tuesday night. While Alandur, Velachery, Otteri, Nammalwarpet went without power due to short-circuits in cables, faulty transformers cut off power in areas like Ice House, Nadukuppam, Ayodhi Kuppam, Kolathur, Ambattur, West Mambalam and Kodambakkam. These kind of outages are normal during this time of the year due to weather changes, said a TNEB official
