Soon a breast cancer clinic in Chennai

So far there was no dedicated breast cancer clinic in the city. Now there is news that screening programs soon.
Apollo Hospitals will open the clinic in the next few months, said Dr Raja, medical oncologist at the hospital. “We will also introduce an Afro-Asian package, for exchange of doctors, patients and training medical students,” he said during ‘Apollo Cancer Conclave 2014’ on Friday. The three-day international conclave on cancer management is being attended by oncology specialists from India, Southeast Asia and Africa.
At the function, former President Abdul Kalam said breakthroughs in cancer that were earlier celebrated are now being looked upon skeptically and encouraged research integration of sciences to treat and cure cancer.
