1.36 Crores - free textbooks – to be distributed on 2nd January in schools

The government has printed 1 crore 36 lakh textbooks to be distributed free to school students. The distribution is scheduled on 2nd January.
In order to reduce the book-load burdent for the daily school, the government introduced the 3-books system for the 3 terms of the academic year. For the students from 1st standard to 8th standard, 2 booklets combining 5 subjects were already distributed. The 3rd booklet has now been published and will be distributed on the 2nd January.
This year, the 3-books system has been introduced for the 9th Standards also. Class-wise sorting is being done roght now for the 1.36 Crors books received. As soon as the schools reopen after the Christmas-New Year Hoildays, distribution will start.
