Highway department approves double-decker flyover design

The double-decker flyover at the Velachery area’s Vijayanagar junction is about to get initiated. The flyover work is expected to commence by coming January month. The work includes the foot over bridge construction for connecting the pedestrians and macro drain with the Veerangal odai. As this is a lengthy process, it may take nearly three years for completion.
The sources also updated that the highways department wing has recently approved the design. It is to be noted that both the flyovers can be used as one-way and will have 2 lanes in each one of them.
