Young doctors discussing the new concepts in Tamil language!! Unbelievable isn`t it!!
Soon, this would become a reality in Chennai and across TN. On Sunday, 29th January 2023, the chief minister of TN Mr. Stalin inaugurated the first ever ENT or Ears Nose and Throat conference in Chennai in Tamil language.
The CM was all praise for Dr. Mohan Kameswaran who spearheads the Madras ENT Research Foundation or MERF plus others who have put huge efforts for the medical conference to be held in Tamil language. It is known that the TN govt gives lots of importance for education, governance and music etc in Tamil language now. Recently, medical books that were translated into Tamil were released. Many technical books would also be translated into Tamil.
In TN, as manya s 4681 children have undergone cochlear surgery under the cochlear surgery scheme and were able to hear well now. Truth is that till now no other states across the country has this record. The famous ENT doctor Mohan Kameswaran later spoke about how the conference would pave the way for many young doctors to discuss new concepts in their mother tongue itself. He added that this conference would be the first step to create a Tamil medical repository.
