New! Chennai to Bodi train - from 19th February!

The project of widening the 90 km railway track between Madurai and Bodi has been completed! Presently, trains are operated on the broad gauge between Madurai and Theni!
As the tack extension on the broad gauge up to Bodi has been completed, it was announced that the train will be extended up to Bodi!
The train starting from Chennai Metro City Central Station will proceed via Salem, Karur, Dindigul, and Madurai to reach Bodi.
The train will operate from Chennai to Bodi on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and from Bodi to Chennai Metro City on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Up to 2000 passengers can travel on this train!
It has been announced that the booking for this train is scheduled to start on 18th January.
Note that the train already running between Chennai Central Station to Madurai is being extended up to Bodi!
IT MAY BE NOTED THAT WITH THE COMMENCEMENT OF TRAIN SERVICE BETWEEN CHENNAI AND BODI, A 25-YEARS LONG DEMAND OF THE PUBLIC GETS FULFILLED!
