The Pongal Festival special holidays conclude today (Tuesday, 17th January)!
Schools are st reopen tomorrow after the Pongal special holidays (Wednesday, 18th January).
All schools, colleges and government offices were closed for Pongal Special Holidays from 14th January. The4 successive holidays come to a close today (Tuesday, 17th January).
In this scenario, false information started floating on social networking media that in addition, 1 more day’s holiday will be declared tomorrow (18th January, Wednesday)!
When the press reporters enquired about this rumour the Education Minister of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Anbil Magesh, stated: “ THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE SCHEDULE OF HOLIDAYS ANNOUNCED FOR THE SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES!”
Meanwhile, for the Kendriya Vidyalayas functioning under the Central Government in the State of Tamil Nadu, Pongal Holiday was just for only 1 day and the schools reopened yesterday (Monday, 16th January)!
As such, the students, teachers and school staff are greatly disappointed with this just 1-day Pongal Holiday!
As such, demand has risen that ALL KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA MUST FOLLOW THE HOLIDAY SCHEDULED ANNOUNCED BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU!
