The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed us that while the rain will reduce for the rest of the month (January), dense foggier conditions will prevail during the rest of this month (January).

As per the estimates of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, the most important season looked for by the State of Tamil Nadu, the Northeast Monsoon Seasonal aim, has concluded in December! However, as the easterly winds continue, it is expected that the rains would continue off and on in intervals!

In this scenario, as per the announcement made by the Indian Meteorological Department, the intensity/impact of foggy conditions will prevail and increase throughout the country whereas the frequency of rains will reduce!

In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:

"here are prospects for mild rain in 1 or 2 places in the coastal districts of the Tamil Nadu State and the adjacent states and the coastal areas of Pudhuchery and Karaikkal.  Dense foggy conditions

Will prevail in the early mornings in the northern interior districts of Tamil Nadu State. r

There are prospects for medium rain in the southern Tamil Nadu Districts and the delta districts and adjacent districts on the 7th & 8th of January.

A dry climate will prevail in other districts.

As regards the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy. The Maximum Temperature will be 31 Degrees Celsius."
