Important News!! From Today onwards for another 4 days, it will rain in TN and Puducherry!!

The Meteorological Dept has informed that from today 14th November there would be moderate rains for another 4 days in the state of Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry etc.

According to Mr. P. Senthamarai Kannan, director of Meteorological Research Center in Chennai, from the interior parts belonging to the northern Tamil Nadu the low pressure has now moved to south east and the adjoining Middle East Arabian Sea to the north Kerala sea. The NE monsoon has intensified now in Tamil Nadu. In the 24 hours that ended till 8:30 am on 13th November, 3 places received very heavy rains and 32 places received heavy rains.

Highest rains of 17cm in Uthiramerur :

In the Uthiramerur belonging to the district of Kancheepuram there was 17cm of rain and it was the highest recorded.  Tiruttani in Thiruvallur district recorded 13cm of rain and Kodumudi in Erode district received 12cm of rain. There were 11cms of rain in Maduranthakam in Chengalpet district and 11cm of rain in Tindivanam of Villupuram district.

It is learnt that at present there is a lower layer atmospheric air circulation between TN and Kerala. As a result, in most of the places in TN and in Puducherry, there would be rains today in many places , 14th November. On 15th November, rains would be there in some places. On 16th and 17th of November, rains with lightning and thunder would be there in one or 2wo places.

It is said that there would be high speed winds of 40kmph to 45kmph in Lakshadweep and along the adjoining SE Arabian Sea and winds would reach speeds of 55kmph in between also. The fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea  in these places. Mr. Senthamarai Kannan concluded that in the last 24 hours 3 places received very heavy rains and 32 places received heavy rains.
