In the Department of Defence in India, the central cabinet has approved a proposal to offer 4-years jobs known as ‘Agnipath’!
Out of this, 25% of the Agniveerargal will be recruited and posted in the Indian Army.
For this purpose, a Merit-Based Recruitment Process will be conducted.

The amount accrued on the provident Fund above after 4 years: Rs. 5.02 Lakhs
The amount contributed to the Seva fund including interest: Rs. 11.71 Lakhs
This accrued fund will be exempted from Income Tax. No pension and other benefits will be given in this scheme.
Other allowances:
Skill Certificate will be given.
Credits will be given for pursuing higher studies.
Relief Fund for those who died
Agni Veerargal will be given a non-contributory Insurance coverage of Rs. 48 Lakhs.
For the candidates who die in this service, the concerned families will be given an additional Rs. 44 Lakhs.
On the 4-years’ service Fund, the unpaid amount by the soldiers due to death will be given.
In case of any physical damage during the 4-year service, Rs. 44 Lakhs will be given.
Under the Agnipath Scheme, the Agni veerargal will be appointed for 4 years! 46000 persons will be recruited this year. The age line for this recruitment is that the candidates MUST be in the age group 17.5-21. The selected candidates must be medically fit/skilled.
