The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for heavy rain in the next 2 hours in 20 districts in Tamil Nadu due to the cyclonic format in the lower layers of the atmosphere and the phenomenon of thermal convection.
It has been raining heavily in the suburban areas of Chennai Metro City, Poonamallee, Thiruverkadu, Chembarambakkam, and Thirumazhisai!
While it was scorching hot weather until the noontime, the people were pleasantly surprised at the rains with winds in the suburban areas of Chennai Metro City.
