Say goodbye to itching & irritation in the eyelids by these important and effective ways!!

Both uncomfortable and highly irritating, itchy eyelids are one common eye issue many of us would have experienced in our lives at some point of time. The truth is that itchy eyelids are not a serious issue. The constant itching in the eyes would make us use our hands frequently to overcome the issue. Irritations in the eyelids could be due to several reasons like dry eyes, seasonal allergies, bacterial infections and eczema etc.

The irritation would not only be present on the edge of the eyelids but on the inner surface of the eyelids also. The tears would protect our eyes is a well known fact and glands in the eyes would provide components for tears. When there is inflammation in the eyes, then this component would get disrupted and it would result in various symptoms such as burning sensation, swollen eyelids, redness etc.

The irritation and itching in the eyelids could be relieved by these superb ways

By applying eye drops:
It would be possible to treat the eyelid irritation and itching by using eye drops. It is important to note that the eye drops would be effective for allergies, redness and for dryness also.

By warm compress:
It is believed that by applying warm compress above the eyelids it would be possible to reduce inflammation and improve blood circulation etc. Unclogging of any clogged oil glands would be possible also. Warm compress is done by soaking a cloth in warm water and applying over the eyelids for a few minutes.

By cold compress:
Some persons would have itchy and irritating eyelids due to some allergies. This would be severe and to avoid any damage to the cornea he or she must avoid rubbing their eyes. Cold water could be applied over the eyelids or ice cubes wrapped in a cloth could also be used with some gap in between.

By massaging eyelids:
A light vertical eye lid massage after warm compress would help express clogged material if any clogged pore is present in the eyes. This massaging of eyelids must be done twice or thrice every day for a few weeks.

By consuming healthy food:
The eye health would be superb when we eat foods that are rich in vitamins like A, C and E omega 3 fatty acids etc. Foods such as green leafy vegetables, beans, nuts seeds etc could be consumed.

By avoiding irritants:
Our eyelids would become inflamed when we use eye make ups or contact lens etc regularly. It is necessary that while using contact lenses we must follow certain hygiene compulsorily. Persons with dry eye issues must avoid working under air flow directly. Not work in hihigh heat conditions etc. It is good to use protective glasses while working under such conditions.
