In the next 15 days, the weather would become hotter in the state of Tamil Nadu and there would be a rise in the maximum temperatures by 3 degrees Celsius. There might be rains after the middle of April. This was according to some sources belonging to the weather department.

Dr. S. Balachandran, DDG of Meteorology, RMC in Chennai expressed his thoughts and spoke about how the maximum temperature would increase by 2 to 3 degrees especially in the interior districts in TN for about a week. He added that for the past few days districts like Karur, Madurai and Erode have recorded 100 degree Fahrenheit and temperatures would be normal in Ooty and in Kodaikanal etc. There would be likely rains and thunderstorms from 8th April.

Districts along the Western Ghats and delta places in TN would receive rains in the next 48 hours and it would be mainly because of atmospheric downward air circulation over the Gulf of Mannar.

Later, Mr. Pradeep john, TN weatherman mentioned that Chennai could get respite from the scorching heat as easterly winds are expected from the next week. He added that for the first time in 150 years in March there were 2 depressions over the Bay of Bengal.
