Certain health complications in us could become severe at any point of time and might lead to death also. These are termed as silent killers. Our overall health depends on the food we consume plus on the various lifestyle practises we follow. We could get affected by health problems if we do not eat a healthy diet or follow lifestyle changes.

Please be careful about these below mentioned silent killers as they could be dangerous.

High blood pressure or BP:
We could get other chronic diseases due to high blood pressure or BP or hypertension. The shocking truth is that across the world 1.28billion in the age group 3o to 79 adults have hypertension in them. Blood pressure occurs with no particular symptoms and hence it is called a silent killer. Affected persons understand the seriousness of this BP only later. High blood pressure could impact the heart as well as arteries plus it could also lead to cardiovascular diseases like heart attacks, heart failure, strokes etc. It is possible to avoid high BP by consuming potassium rich foods, having regular BP checks, more fibre intake etc.

Coronary artery disease:
Truth is that coronary artery disease is life threatening just like many heart diseases. In those persons who have this issue, the coronary artery that supplies blood and oxygen to the heart would narrow down. This could result in chest pain or angina or heart attack etc. It is not possible to avoid getting coronary artery disease without proper screening and a heart healthy lifestyle. It must be noted that if a person with this issue is given treatment then he might get heart failure and arrhythmia etc.

Diabetes or high blood sugar:
Diabetes is also considered as a silent killer. The 2 main types of diabetes or high blood sugars are type-1 and type-2. Point is that in type-1 diabetes pancreas produces little or no insulin and type-2 diabetes impacts the way the body processes blood sugar or glucose. Initially, the persons affected with type-2 diabetes might not have any symptoms but later the person might have fatigue, weight loss, frequent urination and severe thirst etc. High blood sugar could affect important organs like heart, kidneys etc and could lead to death.

Osteoporosis:
Those persons who are affected with osteoporosis would not have any symptoms until they get fractures. Hence the term silent killer is given for osteoporosis issue. Our oral health would also get affected. It is essential that to avoid getting this issue we must eat foods that are rich in calcium, vitamin D etc.

Sleep apnea:
While sleeping some people would breathe loudly and this is called sleep apnea. This issue could lead to loud snores and extreme daytime tiredness etc. It is revealed that those with severere sleep apnea are more vulnerable to sudden deaths during sleep. Therefore sleep apnea is regarded as a silent killer. In those with obstructive sleep apnea, the airways would become either completely or partially blocked airways when they sleep..

Fatty liver disease:
Fatty liver diseases are called silent killers because the growth is gradual without any signs in the initial stages. Two types of fatty liver disease are alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Both alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease could lead to liver cirrhosis in the advanced stage.
