Do You Know? - Important traffic changes done now at Ayanavaram and Purasawalkam to be changed!!

Don’t be surprised if you come across some changes in the traffic flow when you go from Millers Road Junction and Kelly’s Junction in Chennai!!
The news that has come out is that to facilitate the metro train works on the Purasawalkam High road the traffic flow has been modified now. From today onwards this traffic flow changes would be there up to 9 months.
From Millers Road to Kelly’s Junction on the Purasawalkam High Road, traffic flow would be made one way and there would be no diversion of the vehicles coming from Millers Road towards Kelly’s Junction. It is now mentioned that the vehicles on Millers Road coming from Dr. Alagappa Road and Ponniamman Koil Junction would not be allowed to go left at the Ranganathan Avenue Junction towards Ranganathan Avenue. The vehicles would have to move straight on the Millers Road and reach the destination through Millers Road- left-Purasawalkam High Road- Kelly’s Junction and they could proceed further.
Information collected is that motorcycles and Light Motor Vehicles or LMV on Medavakkam Tank Road from Ayanavaram heading towards Purasawalkam High Road must take a right turn at Kelly’s Junction. These motorcycles and LMVs could then reach their destination through Kellys Road, Ranganathan Avenue and Millers Road.
Right turn must be taken at Kelly`s Junction by the MTC buses and heavy vehicles on the Medavakkam Tank Road from Ayanavaram heading towards Purasavakkam High Road. These vehicles could reach their destination through Balfour Road and take a left turn to Orms Road and take a left turn to Millers Road.
From RTO Junction to Anderson Street Junction, traffic flow has been modified now at Ayanavaram also. It is learnt that these changes would come into effect from Tuesday and would be there for 6 months. It is now said that the traffic on Anderson Road from RTO Office junction to Constable Road Junction would be made one –way. There would be entry only from Konnur High Road Junction to Constable Road Junction. It must be noted that the traffic flow on Pilkington Road from Konnur High Road Junction to Constable Road Junction would be on-way only.
