No buses are allowed on this route in Chennai from 14th September!!

One of the busiest localities in Chennai is Arcot Road. Metro rail construction work would be taking place on the Kodambakkam based Arcot Road from Power House to 80feet Road.
As a result, beginning from 14th of September, the traffic would be changed for a time of one year here. This was announced by the department of transport. It is said that there would be no change in vehicular traffic till Porur-Kodambakkam flyover.
Those motorists heading towards Kodambakkam flyover-Porur, Saligramam could go upto Power House Signal on the Arcot Road and turn left. They could proceed via Rajamannar road via Ashok Nagar police station on Ambedkar Road.
It is learnt that vehicles that are coming from the Vadapalani signal on Arcot Road should not turn on the right side on Duraiswamy Road. There would be traffic diversions in other places too. Information is that the department of transport has announced that the traffic change would continue for one year.
