Very heavy rains with strong winds of on 29th, 30th August in Tamil Nadu

The Regional meteorological Centre or RMC has confirmed that there would be heavy rains along with thunderstorms in some districts belonging to Tamil Nadu for the next 2 days. Very heavy rains to be there on 29th and 30th August .Heat convection would be the reason for the upcoming heavy rains in TN.

Till 30th August, there would be strong winds blowing at speed of 40kmph to 50kmph along the coast of Kerala and Lakshadweep islands and due to this the fishermen have been asked by RMC not to venture into the sea.

It was mentioned by Mr. N. Puviarasan, director, Are Cyclone Warning Centre, RMC that there would be heavy rains along with thunderstorms in districts such as Cuddalore, Chengalpet, Villupuram, Dindigul, Kallakurichi, the Nilgiris, Theni, Tiruvannamalai, Salem and Puducherry.

He threw light on light to moderate rains that would occur in many places in TN and in Karaikal in the next 24 hours. Chennai would have partly cloudy sky and there would be light rains in some places.

It is worthy to mention that yesterday the weather stations in Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 35.7 degrees Celsius and the weather station in Meenambakkam recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures of 26.7 degrees Celsius and 25.4 degrees Celsius were recorded in Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam respectively.
