The corridors of the famous Sabarimalai Lord Sri Ayyappan temple was opened yesterday (Friday, 16th July) and permission has been granted for the devotees to have Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan from today (Saturday, 17th July)!

Being hugely famous with crores of devotees, it is traditional at the Sabarimalai Lord Sri Ayyappan temple for lakhs of devotees to visit the temple and have the Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan!

However, the prevalent coronavirus pandemic period had constrained the temple to be closed as a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus.

In the above situation, the corridors of the Lord Sri Ayyappan temple at Sabarimalai was opened for the special poojas and prayers to be performed during the Tamil/Kerala calendar month of Aadi which is considered to be sacred!

As such, with a notable downtrend in the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, the devotees have been permitted this time to have Darshan of Lord Sri Ayyappan.

Melsanthi Jayaraj opened the corridors of the temple in presence of Tanthri Kandarary Rajeevaru.

It has been announced that the temple of Lord Ayyapppan will be open until 21st July.

However, poojas were not being performed.

5000 devotees who had registered online for Darshan of Lord, Sri Ayyappan will be permitted daily.

Note that the DEVOTEES HAVE TO BRING THE PROOF/CERTIFICATE OF RTPCR NEGATIVE REPORT TAKEN 48 HOURS BEFORE!  OR ELSE, THE DEVOTEES CAN BRING ONLNE CERTIFICATE FOR HAVING BEEN ADMINISTERED WITH 2 DOSES OF CORONA VACCINE.
