The rains with dust lashed Chennai and its suburbs and this has brought relief for the residents now.
As per the Regional Meteorological Centre prediction, it is clear that the changes in the atmospheric air circulation would result in the rains in few places in TN. he rains that lashed Chennai have been due to the north west monsoon. People in the Chennai city and in the suburbs were delighted because of the rains. From yesterday evening itself, the sky was cloudy in Chennai and dusty winds blew is well known. There was rain in Chennai and a few places in TN.
In Chennai, rains lashed localities like Guindy, Koyambedu, Vadapalani, Mogappair, Adyar, Nungambakkam, Villivakkam, Chetpet, Purasawalkam, Valasaravakkam, Ramapuram, Porur plus in other places like Poonamallee, Mandaveli, Mylapore, Pallavaram, Chromepet, Tambaram etc.
People belonging to the Thirukovilur in the district of Kallakurichi were surprised as it received the highest rains. Light to moderate rains were witnessed in the districts of Kancheepuram, Chengalpet etc. Rains made its presence felt in districts like Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Thoothukudi, Krishnagiri, Ranipet, Vellore etc. It is now revealed that the rains have cooled the land.
