Kamal Hassan honoured with membership of Musicians Association

The don of many hats, Kamal Hassan has been given an honorary membership in the Film Musicians Association, Chennai.
Recognising Kamal’s work as a singer, office bearers, President of the association, music director Dina, Chairman of the association SA Rajkumar and General Secretary Jona Bhaktakumar presented the membership card to Kamal Hassan at his office.
Kamal is not just an actor. He has showcased his talents as a director, screenwriter, choreographer, singer, and songwriter among many other film crafts including editing.
The association has around 1500 members. With the inclusion of Kamal, the association is proud to have him amidst them, said the office-bearers.
Recalling some great songs sung by Kamal, one can’t forget ‘Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan’ from Guna or the bass-voiced ‘Thenpandi Cheemayile’ from Nayakan, the peppy ‘Sonnapadi Kelu’ from Singaravelan, or the melodious ‘Inji idupazhagi’ from Thevar Magan to name a few. He has also sung some full albums for his movies like ‘Virumaandi’, ‘Anbe Sivam’, ‘Uttama Villain’ to name a few.
