Admission process for the TN run government schools to start

Posted on: 11/Jun/2021 9:21:54 AM
Beginning from 14th June, Tamil Nadu government would resume new admissions for the state run schools. For this, the TN government had given orders to the headmasters, administration staff and teachers to report for work on that day.

For classes 1 to 12, the government as well as the government-aided schools had commenced the admission process. As the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown was extended and summer vacations declared, the admission process was put on hold. The school education department has now decided to restart the admission process once again as the number of Covid-19 cases have been reducing. This was highlighted by a senior officer.

He added that the headmasters, admin staff and teachers were asked to report for duty on 14th June 2021. In the last academic year, government and government aided schools in TN recorded 5lakh additional admissions and it would continue in this academic year too.

Just like last year, the teachers in this year would also be asked to reach out to the parents to explain various schemes and encourage the parents to send the kids to state run schools. It is now said that the teachers would also monitor the distribution of last month’s dry ration quota under the noon meal scheme. Truth is that apart from dry rations, eggs would also be supplied to the noon meal beneficiaries. The school management must make sure that all beneficiaries receive dry rations compulsorily. The senior official later spoke about the textbooks that were ready with the Tamil Nadu Text Book Corporation.
