Cyclone Tauktae formed over the Arabian Sea! Heavy rains likely devastate Tamil Nadu!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that the ‘depression’ zone, formed a few days ago over the southeast Arabian Sea, has now transformed into a cyclonic format!
The depression zone, which formed over the southeast Arabian Sea and the adjacent Lakhdiv area, intensified and transformed into a cyclonic format today (Saturday, 15th May)!
It has been named ‘Tauktae’!
The cyclone Tauktae will drift towards the northwest and is likely to cross the coast via Gujarat on 18th May!
Due to this, there will be an impact due to the cyclone Tauktae in the States of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, and Gujarat. The Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of heavy to very heavy rains in the above regions!
The personnel from the National Disaster Management Authority have been deployed in the regions with the likelihood of very heavy rains!
The personnel of the National Disaster Management Authority are 100% prepared to encounter the impending damage caused by the cyclone Tauktae!
