Now, temperature in Chennai to shoot up even more - Residents to feel the heat

The news that has come out now is that the temperatures would increase further due to relative humidity. This was according to weather experts. On Monday, the temperature increased by 2 degrees Celsius in Chennai and many residents found it difficult.

Yesterday, Meenambakkam recorded 37.4 degrees as maximum and Nungambakkam recorded 35.1degrees Celsius as maximum. An officer belonging to RMC, Chennai expressed his views. He spoke about how in TN relative humidity in the air is 50% to 80% and due to that the weather would be more humid from morning to afternoon. In the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature expected in Chennai would be 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum would be 28 degrees Celsius.

There would be a 2 to 3 degrees increase in the maximum temperature in Chennai city on Tuesday and on Wednesday. Other districts like Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Ranipet, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Kallalurichi, Cuddalore, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai and Thanjavur would also witness rise in the temperature.

The drier conditions in the rest of TN would bring gradual rise in the day temperature as rains and thunderstorms shift closer to the Western Ghats.
