The receipt of postal ballot commences!
The task of making house-to-house visits to collect the postal-voting for the ensuing Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly Elections commenced today (Thursday, 25th March) in the Chennai Metro City.
It has been announced that the postal voting by citizens above 80 years of age and the differently-abled citizens will be received by house visits from today (25th March, Thursday) until 31st March.
70 squads have been formed by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) for this purpose.
Each squad is scheduled to visit 15 locations as per the given addresses making a house-call to collect the postal votes.
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has informed that 6922 citizens over 80 years of age, 308 differently-abled citizens, for a total of 7300 citizens, will be eligible to cast their postal votes!
