MNM Election Candidate affected with coronavirus!

The Election Candidate from the party MNM (Actor/politician Kamalahaasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiyam) contesting the ensuing Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections from the constituency of Anna Nagar, Mr Ponraj has been infected with the coronavirus.
Ponraj has noted this on his Facebook page – “For the last 4 days, I have spent sleepless nights and was not doing well even as I was engaged in the election activities. I was getting treatment for fever and body pain. I have been confirmed as infected with the coronavirus.
Because of this, I am not in an apposition to take up the extensive campaigning activities meeting the public, especially the citizens from the Anna Nagar Constituency, y seeking votes. However, the party members will actively pursue campaigning and will meet all of you! My gratitude to them for rendering this service st an important occasion!
I regret that I am not in the apposition to come and meet all of you personally. I am confident that I will recover fast and will soon be able to meet you! I request the citizens to pardon me for the current situation!
However, I will continue to be in touch with citizens through social networking media, television, and YouTube.
Arrangements will soon be made for me to conduct and participate in a ‘zoom’ meeting with the Anna Nagar citizens. “
It may be noted that this candidate Ponraj was present with the party founder Kamalahassan while the party manifesto was released last Friday.
It is worth noting here that already another contestant, Santhosh Babu from Velacherry Assembly Constituency, has been infected with coronavirus and this is the 2nd candidate from MNM (Makkal Needhi Maiyam) party to be infected!
