Weather to be dry in Chennai now after the recent mild rains

On Sunday and on Monday, Chennai received just mild rains inspite of the conductive weather. It is now known that few places in Cuddalore and Puducherry received heavy rains on Monday.

It is now predicted that Chennai city and TN would witness dry weather for the next 24 hours.

According to an official belonging to RMC, Chennai, thunderstorms and lightning with moderate rains are likely to occur at a few places over south TN. Delta districts and Karaikal area on Monday.

He added that areas in northern TN would receive thunderstorms with light to moderate rains on the same day. The officials were expecting light rains across the isolated areas in districts near the Western Ghats. During the wee hours on Monday, Chennai received trace amounts of rain. The sky condition is likely to be cloudy and the temperatures are likely to be between 31 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius. From the second half of Monday, the rains would reduce and from Tuesday dry days are expected to begin. According to the weather blogger Mr. Pradeep john, north TN would have a pleasant Monday.
