The number of free Darshan Tickets at the Tirupathi Lord Venkateswara Temple has been increased from 10000 to 20000!

When lockdown conditions were imposed throughout the country as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic during March 2020, Devotees were banned from Darshan at the Tirupathi temple as well! However, all the routine pooja events at the temple were continued to be performed.

Subsequently, on 11th June 2020, devotees were permitted to have Darshan with some restrictions and guidelines.

In the 1st Phase of subsequent relaxations, a total of 3000 tokens were issued daily for Free Darshan from 26th October. Later, this number of tokens for free Darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the Tirupathi temple was increased to 10000 from 3000.

In this present status, the Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) has decided to increase the number of free Darshan tokens daily from 10000 to 20000.

The above decision has been taken after due consideration for the devotees visiting the temple without booking so that they may get the opportunity to have a Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara!

After this, there would be around 50000 devotees having Darshan every day including the VVIP Break Darshan, Special Fees Darshan, and the Free Darshan!

As such, the number of daily free Darshan Tickets has been increased from 1000 to 20000 from today
