Toll rates at 2 plazas on Chennai-Bengaluru Highway reduced now

From 15th December, the toll plaza at 2 places on the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway would be reduced by 50%. This was announced by NHAI or National Highway Authority of India.
It is said that this reduction based on the order from the High Court of Madras would be on till 21st of December. At the Sriperumbudur and at Chinnasalem toll plazas, the rates have been rounded to the nearest Rs 5. There were many complaints from the motorists about the poor condition of the road and this has resulted in the reduction of toil rates by 50% now.
Important information is that for vehicles like car, van, jeep, light motor vehicle, the one way rate would be Rs 25 each at both the toll plazas that covers a distance of around 100m on the road.
It is well known that the NHAI has been taking a series of improvement works on the road including junctions at Vanagaram, Vellappanchavady and Parivakkam etc.
