Prospects for cancellation of E-pass regulation!

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy will have consultation/review meeting regarding the continuation of the present E-pass system for travel from one district to another or other states.
As a preventive measure to control the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic, the system of issuing E-pass making it mandatory for travel from one district to another or other states.
In a recent move, the Chief Minister announced relaxation in the issue of E-pass system, making it available to all.
Meanwhile, there has been a strong demand to cancel this E-pass system by most poetical parties and their leaders including the leading opposition party, Stalin of the DMK.
In a recent letter from the Central Government to all the Chief Secretaries of the states, it has been emphasised that there should be no restrictions in travel to other districts or states.
In this situation, it is learnt that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy is scheduled to have a meeting regarding this issue.
