Prospects for medium rains in 9 districts in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for medium rain today (Tuesday, 11th August) in 9 districts in Tamil Nadu due to the cyclonic formats prevailing n the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre explained that due to the prevailing cyclonic format in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra coastal regions, there are prospects for medium rains today (11th August) in 1 or 2 places in the districts of Thiruvallur, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Theni, and Kanyakumari. There are prospects for heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in Nilgiri District.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has further warned that as high-speeds would be blowing at 50 kmph over the central-west Bay of Bengal, fishermen must not venture into the sea in these regions.
