Residents of north Chennai do no bother about wearing face masks etc even now

The fact is the number of Coronavirus positive cases have reduced in north Chennai. The residents there don`t seem to bother about wearing face masks or maintaining social distancing even at the time when more than 1000 Coronavirus cases are being reported every day in Chennai. This has grabbed many eyeballs now.
The main purpose of wearing face masks is to protect the nose and mouth but many shopkeepers and residents of north Chennai do not do this. Pint is they pull their masks below their chin.
It is revealed that when compared to the previous months the wearing of face masks by the residents of north Chennai has improved. In places like Pulianthope, Vyasarpadi etc in Chennai there are many who roam without wearing facemasks even or improperly also.
In the past, zones like Tondiarpet and Royapuram reported many Coronavirus cases and now the cases have come down. This was as per some officials belonging to GCC. At present, north Chennai accounts for less than 20% of the new Covid-19 cases that get reported every day in Chennai. It is clear from an official that Tondiarpet reports just 40 to 60 cases per day and Royapuram zone has just 60 to 80 cases per day.
