An announcement has been released for the recruitment/ filling up of the vacant posts of 272 salespersons and packers in the Public Distribution Fair Price Shops functioning under the Cooperative Unions in Chennai District.
Applications are invited from the candidates with a pass in the +2 or 10th Standard.

Academic Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed +@ Public Examination. They should be fluent in reading and writing Tamil.
Monthly salary:
Consolidated monthly salary of Rs. 5000 from the date of appointment. After completion of 1 year, the monthly salary pay scale will be Rs. 4300-Rs. 13000

Academic Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed 10th Standard Public Examinations. Candidate must be fluent in reading and writing Tamil.
Monthly Salary:
Consolidates monthly salary of Rs. 5000 from the Date of Appointment. After completion of 1 year, the pay scale of the monthly salary will be Rs. 3900 – Rs. 11000.
Age Limit:
As on 1st January 2020, the candidates must have completed 18 years of age and must be under the age of 35 years. Special notified community candidates will be given age limit concession as per the rules and regulations of the state government.

Application Fee:
For the category of the open community and OBC candidates, the application fee is is Rs. 150 for the post of salespersons. For the posts of drivers, an additional Rs. 100 has to be paid. Candidates belonging to the other categories need not pay any application fee.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the short-list and the performance in the interview.
