Prospects for heavy rain with thunder in 7 districts in Tamil Nadu!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for heavy rains with thunder in 7 districts of Tamil Nadu today (Monday, 20th July) due to the cyclonic format developed over the upper layers of the atmosphere.
In a notification released regarding above, it is informed that there are prospects for heavy rains with thunder in 1 or 2 places in the 7 districts – Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Vellore, Dindigul, Kanchipuram, Namakkal, and Salem.
It is further informed that during the next 24 hours, there are prospects for medium rains with thunder in districts lying adjacent to the Western Ghat Mountain Range and the districts of Theni, Thirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
There are prospects of rain with thunder today in a few places in the districts lying adjacent to the Western Ghat Mountain Range.
