Domestic Flights from Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi to Kolkata canceled from tomorrow

It has been announced that the domestic flight services to Kolkata from the cities Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Nagpur, and Ahmadabad will be canceled during the period from 6th July to 19th July.
This was announced on Saturday (4th July) on behalf of the Kolkata Airport administration as a decision taken as a preventive measure against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic.
The impact/intensity of the spread of the raging coronavirus has been quite severe in the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Gujarat and it is learned that this situation of the corona spread status has necessitated the above-announced cancellation of flights from these corona-affected states to Kolkata.
Earlier, when the flight services were stopped during the imposition of the 1st Phase of lockdown from 25th March, the services were resumed after 2 months from 25th May. At the same time, international flights have been banned. Under the scheme, ‘Vande Bharath’, the Indians stranded abroad are being brought back to India through special flights organized.
