Lockdown: ICAI cancels the CA Examinations scheduled in July!

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the Chartered Accountant Examinations (CA), scheduled to be conducted in July, are cancelled.
As the impact/intensity of the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic has been severe in the last few weeks throughout the country, all types of competitive/course admission/employment examinations are being cancelled.
Only certain important tests are just postponed to be conducted later.
The Central Government has informed that the decision regarding cancellation or postponement of these examinations is to be made the respective state governments and the concerned educational institutions.
As such, many examinations have wither been cancelled or postponed so far since March.
Further, the examinations for Chartered Accountants are being conducted twice in a year by the Chartered Accountancy Board. The Examinations scheduled to be held in May were postponed due to the raging coronavirus pandemic. Subsequently, it was announced that they will be conducted on 29th July. However, as the lockdown imposition has been extended till 31st July, As such, IAI has now announced that this CA examination stands cancelled.
Candidates throughout India had applied for writing this CA examination. ICIA has informed them that they can write this examination along with the examinations scheduled to be conducted during November.

It may be noted at this juncture that the CA examinations scheduled to be conducted in May was postponed and then cancelled!
