UPSC: Candidates writing Civil Services Preliminary exam can choose their preferred centers!

The Union of Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a new notification for the candidates/students writing the preliminary Civil Services Examinations.

The information has been released that the Preliminary Examinations for the Civil Services are scheduled to be conducted on 4th October throughout the country.

In this situation, UPSC has announced that the candidates/students can choose their own preferred centers for writing the examinations.

Further, it is explained that the students/candidates can visit the website - www.upsconline.nic.in. and select their preferred Preliminary Civil Services Examination Centres.

 With the prevailing lockdown announced in the 6th Phase as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic over the last 98 days, the situation has arisen that the preliminary examinations conducted for IAS and IPS Civil Services Preliminary Examinations conducted by UPSC may have to be postponed!

Over 10 Lakhs candidates are allowed to write the Civil services Preliminary Examinations for IAS, IFS, and IPS posts which are the Central Government recruitments.

The candidates who are successful will be called for interview. However, due to the raging coronavirus pandemic, the above preliminary examinations had to be postponed.

Further, the interviews for the successful candidates for the previous years preliminary examinations for Civil Services are also yet to be conducted!

In this scenario, a notification has been released that the Preliminary Examinations for the Civil Services are scheduled to be conducted on 4th October throughout the country.

Subsequently, UPSG has announced now that the candidates/students can change the Examination Centres as per their preferences.
